Video Poker Tips: Playing Speed

A lot of people don’t notice this, but speed is actually an important factor in Video Poker as well. Don’t get me wrong, by speed I mean being able to play the game fast enough while still making cool and calculated decisions at all times. There are several reasons why upping your playing tempo can help you play better Video Poker, and those reasons are what we are going to discuss in this article.

When you play Video Poker, you will quickly notice certain ups and downs throughout the game. There will be times when all you have are losses, followed by the times when you actually win with several fabulous hands and bank your profits. These ups and downs are very natural indeed, especially because Video Poker is based on randomness; Video Poker uses random number generator to determine which cards to deal.

When you play at slower tempo, these ups and downs can influence your emotion. Why? Because your body and mind will have more time to absorb all the frustrations and hysteria, making you emotional indeed. Being emotional is definitely not good when you are playing Video Poker. Chasing your losses after a streak of bad beats is just as bad as betting blindly after a huge win.

With faster playing speed, you can actually ignore these emotions and stay objective while making cool and calculated decisions. Playing at high speed may require practice, but the effort you put on learning how to play at faster tempo will be well worth it.
